Luther King Class
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Spring term 2 – one of Year 6’s racially literate topics. After learning all about World War II last half term, we are now moving on in time to look at migration to Britain after the war as well as some key moments for civil rights here in the UK. Not only that, but the year 6 team (Mrs Preston, Mr Nolan, Ms Blackwood and Donna) will be working hard, preparing the children for their SATs examinations in May.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to come and speak to us. We are always happy to see you!
Thank you for your support.
Weekly routines:
PE takes place on Friday and the children can come to school in their PE kits on that day.
Daily Homework: 30 minutes of reading, a page of times table and spelling practice. We expect the children to fill in their reading record daily and an adult to sign it weekly.
Homework: The children will also receive homework every day. This is a mixture of English and Maths work as well as research homework for different subjects. The research homework is set on Fridays and needs to be completed and handed in by Monday.
Spelling tests are on a Friday.
